John & Diana Kennedy

AG US Missionaries - AG Church Mobilization/RV Volunteers

John and Diana Kennedy met in a church membership class, quickly became best friends, and married a year later. They have two grown children and one grandson (at the moment). From the time they met, they have worked together in active ministry from working on prayer teams, leading life groups, serving in Children’s ministry, partnering as Foster Family Coaches, working as food and benevolence pantry volunteers, and volunteering whenever possible and wherever needed. It became evident that God had brought them together for a purpose.

Over the last several years God had been preparing them for something different. In a series of Abraham moments, they left behind life as they knew it and stepped out in faith. Their Pastor exposed them to learning about serving with Church Mobilization / RV Volunteers (formerly US MAPS / RV Volunteers), a ministry under US Missions of the Assembly of God Church. Church Mobilization / RV Volunteers is a group of retired, full-time and/or part-time RVers that move from location to location (such as Churches, camps, schools, Institutions, Adult & Teen Challenge, and other AG church-based organizations and ministries) as well as developing church teams from individual churches to provide free labor for maintenance, remodeling or construction, evangelism, and ministry projects. RV Volunteers provide this service in exchange for full-service RV hookups.

In 7 short months, John and Diana went from RV Volunteers to becoming Missions Associates. In November of 2022, they were then appointed as Field Representatives over all Church Mobilization projects in the PennDel District. They continue to serve Assembly of God organizations within the PennDel District that have a need while working to build an army of skilled laborers and helping hands (Church Teams) from individual churches and through recruiting new RV Volunteers. John and Diana are currently stationed and living at The Bongiorno Conference Center in Carlisle, PA. Together they started Bongiorno Assembly Church for BCC staff members that were missing church as they worked Sunday Mornings serving at Bongiorno. It has expanded to reach local community members as well. To date, Bongiorno Assembly brought 5 people to the Lord and water baptized 2 participants with a scheduled baptism at the end of Summer.
