community Groups

46-47 They followed a daily discipline of worship in the Temple followed by meals at home, every meal a celebration, exuberant and joyful, as they praised God. People in general liked what they saw. Every day their number grew as God added those who were saved.

Acts 2:46-47

Community Groups present a casual atmosphere for people to connect and get to know each other. They provide opportunity to ask questions as well as get answers. We encourage everyone to take advantage of the Community Groups we offer and find one that fits you. Groups provide you with the opportunity to study books of the Bible or Topical studies by various authors. We run our Community Groups in a semester format.  We have a Spring semester, Fall semester and Winter semester, with the summer off.
Do you feel God calling YOU to lead a Community Group?  We are holding a Community Group Leader training, Sunday, August 3 at 6pm at the Discipleship Center, 253 N. 6th Street, Newport. Come learn the "What, Why & How's" of Newport Community Groups. If you are interested start browsing Right Now Media and see what resource God leads you to. We try to keep the Community Groups to a six week class since the semester is 8 weeks, so you have flexibility in scheduling your meetings. Remember God doesn't call the equipped, He equips the called! Say yes!
Contact the church office to sign up for training, if you have any questions contact Pastor Mark.
