Helping all who need it.
The Bread of Life Outreach (BOLO) is a 501(c)(3) ministry of the Newport Assembly of God Church located in the small town of Newport, Perry County, Pennsylvania. The compassion ministry has been serving those in need for almost 30 years. We help people, families, churches, and nonprofits by providing basic needs - food, non-food products and the transformational message of the gospel.
Then Jesus declared, “I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never go hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty.
John 6:35
BOLO exists to express the love of God and create opportunities to share the transformational message of the gospel through the provision of basic needs.
BOLO is volunteer-operated and led by one part-time Manager along with the Pastors and Board Leadership at Newport Assembly of God Church.
BOLO serves struggling communities in Perry County and surrounding rural counties that have high poverty rates with up to fifty percent of the school students qualifying for the federal government free or reduced lunch program.
BOLO also partners with churches and non-profit agencies in Perry County, Pennsylvania to help further their mission of helping those in need.
Most importantly, BOLO offers friendship, hope, and encouragement through Jesus Christ, the Christian community, and the practical teachings of Scripture.
As a faith-based organization, BOLO does not discriminate against any religion, race or creed and provides free services to all individuals, families, and organizations in need.
